I attended Hazelwood Integrated College in Newtownabbey, Co. Antrim which specialised in Creativity and Digital Arts between September 2004 and June 2011 where I majored in Art & Design, Business and ICT. During education, I gained work experience as an intern with Irish Fashion Designer, Una Rodden in December 2008 at the age of fifteen where I was involved in the preparation for a Runway Presentation as well as entering the Belfast Fashion Week design competition a few years later at the age of seventeen and coming second place over a number of aspiring designers throughout Ireland.
After only twelve months of working in the industry full-time, I decided in December 2012, at the age of nineteen, to begin the process of establishing my first business and clothing line, AXMÉIRE by Aiden McKenna, which offers a unique, alternative Fashion Style of basics. AXMÉIRE is expected to launch during October 2013.
Since first beginning my career in the industry in January 2012, I have carried out work for a large number of clients throughout Ireland and beyond. Most notably Salto Gym (Official Training Base for the Chinese Olympic Team during London 2012), Rapture Dance Crew (as seen on SKY1's "Got to Dance" talent show) and also Derry City of Culture & the Líofa 2015 initiative for the current Culture, Arts & Leisure Minister; Carál Ní Chuilín, MLA.
